Don't let Chrysler bail on its electric vehicle promises

Chrylser Electric Vehicle Let Chrysler know its decision to abandon its electric car production plans has consequences. We estimate that more than one million extra tons of carbon dioxide -- the chief gas causing global warming -- could be emitted each year, starting in 2014, because of Chrysler's cancellation of this program.

Dear Sergio Marchionne,

I am outraged about your decision to eliminate the electric vehicle production program. Chrysler stood in front of Congress, pledging to use its bailout funds to take the company in a new direction.

Now that you have my taxpayer money, you are reneging on your promises.

This action has a consequence. I refuse to purchase any Chrysler product until you reinstate the electric vehicle production program.
