Call for a halt to reactor construction and ultimately, an end to nuclear power in the U.S.
The nuclear disaster at Fukushima is a heartbreaking reminder of the dangers inherent to the nuclear industry. Radioactive contamination has turned up everywhere from school yards to food crops. And clean up of the crippled reactors could take decades. More and more people in the U.S. are learning that no reactor -- new or old -- is safe.
