Great work!

After Friends of the Earth activists made many phone calls to the senator's office, Senator Kerry said that the Senate Foreign Relations committee will carefully examine the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline project: "I'll do my best to leave no question unanswered."

The calls to Senator Kerry made a huge impact -- thank you! If you have yet to make a call, please thank him and encourage him to follow through with his leadership.

The Keystone XL pipeline is too dirty and dangerous, and the evidence of State Department corruption too flagrant, to have powerful potential allies like Senator Kerry sitting on the sidelines. We need to ensure he stands by his words.

Please call Senator Kerry today and urge him to lead in investigating State Department wrongdoing.

1. Call Senator Kerry’s office at (202) 224-2742.

2. Deliver your message. Here is a sample script:

Hi. I’m a constituent calling from [YOUR CITY]. I am glad to hear that Senator Kerry said he will investigate evidence of conflicts of interest and oil industry bias in the Keystone XL pipeline review process.

This pipeline threatens our climate and communities in its path. The public deserves a fair process and I expect Senator Kerry to follow through and use his authority as chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to lead in holding the State Department accountable. Thank you.
