Update: We won! Congress finished its tax legislation on December 23 without extending this massive subsidy for corn ethanol. Thanks to all of you who took action. It made a difference.

We are on the verge of stopping the largest government handout for corn ethanol, a tax credit that pays big oil companies billions each year simply for blending this dirty fuel into gasoline.

Corn ethanol damages our water and soil, causes more climate pollution than gasoline and increases food prices. It would be inexcusable to squander more taxpayer dollars promoting it while too many Americans struggle to put food on the table.

Tell your representative to let the Volumetric Ethanol Excise Tax Credit expire as planned at the end of this year. No 11th hour tricks!
