Join the fight to stop a dirty oil pipeline

Hello,

Today activists across the country are calling their senators to urge them to oppose the Keystone XL pipeline. If approved by the Obama administration, this pipeline would carry tar sands oil -- the world’s dirtiest oil -- 1,700 miles from Canada to refineries in Texas.

This pipeline would increase climate pollution as well as threaten communities at both ends. Indigenous peoples living near the oil extraction sites in Canada are already suffering from increased incidences of cancer. People along the pipeline's route to Texas would face the risk of oil spills and people living near refineries in the U.S. would face increased air pollution.

Big Oil has encountered more of a fight than it expected in seeking approval to build this pipeline. Now we need to dial up the pressure on Secretary Clinton, who is in charge of deciding its fate. We need more senators to speak out and urge Secretary Clinton to reject this dangerous pipeline.
