Tell your Representative to reject GOP climate denial and support a strong Green New Deal!

Last week, Representative Gaetz introduced a resolution to undermine our critical environmental protections.

We urgently need your help to fight back against this destructive resolution -- and the GOP’s dangerous climate denial!

Dear Representative,

I am writing today in response to FL Representative Gaetz’s deceitful resolution on fake climate solutions. It is not surprising that the same Representative who tried to dismantle the EPA would try to undermine NEPA, our nation's bedrock environmental law, as part of a false climate resolution. But the American people know better. I urge you to reject Gaetz’s cynical resolution and instead support a strong Green New Deal.

I urge you to support a Green New Deal that:
    -Phases out fossil fuels and transitions the economy to 100 percent renewable energy.
    -Decarbonizes transportation and expands access to affordable public transit.
    -Transitions away from energy-intensive, polluting, inequitable industrial agriculture and builds a healthy, just food system where organic is for all.
    -Ensures a fair and just transition, led by impacted workers and communities, including frontline, vulnerable, and Indigenous communities disproportionately burdened by toxic pollution.
    -Upholds Indigenous rights.
    -Includes a national jobs guarantee, creating good jobs with collective bargaining rights and family-sustaining wages for all workers, including farmworkers, that currently lack most federal labor protections.

Our planet can’t wait. We need a Green New Deal to rapidly end our dependence on fossil fuels and build an economy that serves workers and communities, not corporations.
