Help save our oceans: Tell Congress to publicly condemn Carnival Corporation!

Carnival Corporation must take responsibility for the harm it’s causing. But it’s dragging its feet. If Congress steps up and takes a public stance against Carnival, it will have to clean up the destruction caused by its cruise ships.

So we need engaged Friends of the Earth members like you to demand your legislators publicly condemn Carnival Corporation for destroying coastal communities and marine ecosystems.

Dear Legislators,

I recently learned that all Carnival Corporation companies received Fs on the 2019 Cruise Ship Report Card issued by Friends of the Earth for their criminal environmental violations over the past two years. I am extremely upset that the company has been polluting the communities it visits and relies on for business while dumping plastic waste and contaminated water all the way.

Carnival Corp should give up some of the $3.2 billion in profits it collected in 2018 to work to clean up the many communities it polluted with oil, plastic, sewage and graywater, food waste and air emissions. These communities who suffered the brunt of Carnival’s illegal business practices deserve no less.

As an elected official, you have a responsibility to protect our country, its people, and its oceans from all threats – even environmental threats from giant corporations like Carnival Corp.

That’s why I am demanding that you publicly condemn the cruise giant for the destruction it has caused.
