The House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis is seeking public input on a plan to prevent climate chaos -- giving constituents like you a unique opportunity to weigh in on the legislative process.

I am writing today to urge you to take bold action to avert the climate catastrophe.

As chair of the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, you are in a unique position to shape House Democrats’ position on climate change. But the Select Committee's Request for Information fails to solicit information on two of the most critical components of the climate fight: (1) addressing structural inequities that perpetuate injustice and the disproportionate impacts to frontline communities, and (2) ending fossil fuel production - the major driver of climate change. I urge you to use your influence to advocate for comprehensive climate solutions in line with a Green New Deal that:

•	Phases out fossil fuels and transitions to clean renewable energy
•	Decarbonizes transportation and expands access to affordable public transit
•	Transitions away from industrial agriculture to a healthy and just food system
•	Upholds Indigenous rights
•	Includes a national jobs guarantee with good jobs and family-sustaining wages
•	Ensures a fair and just transition lead by impacted workers and communities

We need policies that put communities most vulnerable to climate change above corporate profit. Our planet can’t wait any longer.
