Despite President Biden’s promise to address the Bureau of Land Management’s practice of selling off public lands to corporations, BLM is moving forward with a new drilling plan near iconic public lands -- Dinosaur National Monument on the Utah-Colorado border.
Dinosaur National Monument contains petroglyphs and pictographs marking the history of Indigenous people in the region. It’s also home to a prehistory dating back millions of years – fossils from more than half of the dinosaurs that lived in the Late Jurassic period in North American can be found here.
