Students across the country have been asking for plant-based options. But school districts working on a tight budget struggle to provide these options. Congress could get schools the help they need to provide better options for all students.
Too many schools aren’t able to provide plant-based options in their cafeterias. Kids who prefer or require them for religious, health or other reasons are left with no options – largely due to resource constraints.
