The Florida Key Deer are beloved for their small size and friendly demeanor. Sadly, the survival of these precious deer is under threat from the devastating habitat destruction caused by climate change and human interference.

And the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Services is threatening to remove their endangered species protections!

We MUST keep the Florida Key Deer listed under the Endangered Species Act to protect them and their habitat so we can work toward the recovery of these vulnerable tiny deer.

To the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service:

I am writing to ask you to continue to protect the Florida Key Deer from extinction and not remove its ESA listing.

Plants and wildlife are going extinct at an unprecedented rate. Scientists and world leaders agree that biodiversity loss will exacerbate climate change and vice versa.

Many at-risk species are rapidly facing the consequences of the climate crisis, including 10 U.S. species already imperiled by climate change. These vulnerable species like the FL Key Deer are in critical danger of extinction, which could have devastating impacts on our ecosystem and planet.

We cannot completely stop the imminent climate crisis, but we can take immediate actions to curb its damage. With federal protections under the Endangered Species Act, we can help restore fragile habitats and declining populations and foster the recovery of many of these important species. It's our last chance to stop the human-caused extinction of critically dwindling species.

I’m calling on you today to continue to protect the FL Key Deer under the Endangered Species Act. Furthermore, I ask you to protect the following species that are at the biggest risk of extinction due to climate change impacts:
