Stop animal abuse and environmental destruction at factory farms now!

Corporate giants are polluting our planet and subjecting innocent animals to unnecessary cruelty and abuse at factory farms — all to turn a profit.

From the moment they are born, many of these poor animals will never experience sunlight, fresh air, or affection. Mothers and babies are ripped away from one another, often mutilated and deprived of basic needs for most of their lives.

At the same time, factory farms generate mountains of waste that poison the air and water of nearby communities.

We must demand an end to factory farming before it’s too late for our planet and more animals are harmed!

Dear Member of Congress,

As your constituent, I am writing to respectfully request your support for the Farm System Reform Act (S.2332/H.R.4421). This legislation will strengthen the Packers and Stockyards Act to create a more fair and competitive livestock market, restore mandatory Country of Origin Labeling, and provide funding for a voluntary buyout to enact a just transition away from industrial models of livestock raising.

Our current hyper-concentrated, vertically integrated model for meat production is failing everyone along the supply chain. Farmers are going broke, meatpacking workers face unsafe conditions and are paid inadequate wages, consumers don’t trust the corporations controlling the food system, communities living near industrial animal facilities face pollution and other health risks, and farmed animals are treated inhumanely. Large multinational meatpacking corporations are the only ones who benefit.

Instead, I want to see Congress build a fair and sustainable food system as envisioned by the Farm System Reform Act. Please do all within your power to pass this legislation.
