HELP SAVE BEES: Demand Home Depot and Lowe’s stop selling toxic Roundup!

EPA findings show that Roundup’s key ingredient glyphosate is likely to kill or injure 93% of U.S. endangered species. This toxic chemical is the world’s most widely used herbicide, and vulnerable species like wild bees are at RISK so long as companies like Home Depot and Lowe’s continue to sell Roundup.

Glyphosate DESTROYS beneficial gut bacteria that help protect bees from diseases. Exposure to this harmful chemical can also interfere with their reproductive abilities -- meaning FEWER BABY BEES! That’s why we need Home Depot and Lowe’s to step up!

To whom it may concern,

While Bayer announced that it would reformulate Roundup by replacing glyphosate with alternative active ingredients for the U.S. consumer market by 2023, the health of people and pollinators cannot wait.

Glyphosate is a probable human carcinogen and has been associated with a range of other serious health problems. Glyphosate also poses a threat to 93% of U.S. endangered species, is a primary driver of the decimation of monarch butterfly populations and is toxic to bees.

As a customer, I urge you to protect the health of people, pollinators, and the planet by making the following commitments:
•	Eliminate all products containing glyphosate from stores and online sales immediately and ensure that any reformulated products are not harmful to people, pollinators, and broader ecosystems before selling them;
•	Increase offerings of organic approved products and other safer alternatives;
•	Assess the toxicity of all pesticide products offered and consequently set goals to decrease overall sales of toxic pesticide products; and
•	Publicize progress toward these commitments to demonstrate that your company has taken steps to protect pollinators and human health and will continue to do so.

Taking these actions would demonstrate your continued commitment to sustainability and to protecting consumer health and the health of pollinator populations.
