Factory farms are bad for people, animals, and the environment.

These abusive operations often cram innocent animals into small spaces without sunlight or fresh air in unsanitary conditions that are breeding grounds for dangerous bacteria and diseases that could end up in our communities.

These massive facilities release large amounts of toxic pollution into local air and water -- and produce TONS of greenhouse gas emissions that worsen the climate crisis.

The greedy factory farming industry is harming animals, polluting the environment, and putting public health at risk. But the USDA continues to fund them!

Will you take action now to demand an END to federal funding of abusive factory farms?

Dear USDA,

Factory farming poses a risk to animals, our public health, and the environment.

Animals on factory farms are subjected to unnecessary suffering and are forced to live under inhumane and unsanitary conditions -- which is not only cruel, but it also creates a breeding ground for bacteria and disease.

In fact, industrial-scale farms produce as much as 1 billion tons of manure waste -- three times as much as humans. And that waste ends up contaminating our water, food, and air.

Nearby residents are also at risk from factory farms. Research has linked toxic air and water pollutants to respiratory ailments, decreased quality of life, stress, and elevated blood pressure. This harms low-income communities and communities of color the most, where these massive facilities are disproportionately located.

To make matters worse, factory farming releases large amounts of greenhouse gas emissions, exacerbating the negative impacts of the climate crisis.

But USDA continues to fund and support these mega meat corporations, so I am writing to you today to urge you to STOP your support of the factory farming industry and prioritize public health
