Now that Republicans control the House of Representatives, they’re moving FULL STEAM AHEAD to disassemble our nation’s most critical environmental laws. On e proposed bill would prevent species like giraffes and elephants from being protected by the Endangered Species Act! Another would allow the military to IGNORE PROTECTIONS for endangered species.
It gets even worse. Republicans would also allow give the green light for mining companies to destroy public lands for profit and allow Big Oil to build polluting projects without input from impacted communities. Imagine if Big Oil built a new refinery in your town without your input. The air grows thick with toxic pollutants. Kids prefer to stay inside. Invisible fumes creep into unsuspecting homes. This is what we’re up against!
