Tell Congress to oppose pro-corporate and anti-environment trade deals!

Trade deals must prioritize people and the planet – not corporate profits. But provisions in many of our trade deals let multinational corporations sue governments for laws and regulations they claim hurt their profits. Unacceptable.

Members of Congress are advocating to change these broken trade deals – and we need your help to convince your Representative to stand up to corporate greed!

Dear Representative,

I am writing to urge you to join this important letter led by Reps. Linda Sánchez & Lloyd Doggett urging the Biden administration to remove Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) rules from the Central America-Dominican Republic Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR).

ISDS allows multinational corporations to challenge governments laws and regulations that they claim negatively impacts their profits.

The system has long been used to challenge public health regulations, environmental protections, and Indigenous rights, as well as to subvert the will of democratically elected governments throughout the Americas.
