Factory farms are DANGEROUS for people, animals, and the environment.

Animals in factory farms are crammed into tiny cages and confined spaces without sunlight or fresh air in unsanitary conditions that are breeding grounds for diseases that could end up harming our communities.

These massive facilities release massive amounts of toxic pollution that contaminate our water and air — and produce TONS of greenhouse gas emissions that worsen the climate crisis.

But the USDA still continues to fund greedy and abusive meat and dairy corporations, so we MUST take action now! >>

Dear USDA,

Factory farming poses risks to animals, our public health, and the environment.

Animals on factory farms are subjected to unnecessary suffering and are forced to live under inhumane and unsanitary conditions -- which is not only cruel, but it also creates a breeding ground for diseases.

In fact, industrial-scale factory farms produce as much as 1 billion tons of manure waste -- three times as much as humans. And that waste ends up contaminating our water, food, and air.

Nearby residents are also at risk from factory farms. Research has linked related toxic air and water pollution to respiratory ailments, decreased quality of life, stress, and elevated blood pressure. This harms low-income communities and communities of color the most, since these massive facilities are disproportionately located near these communities.

To make matters worse, factory farming releases large amounts of greenhouse gas emissions, exacerbating the negative impacts of the climate crisis.

But USDA continues to fund and support these mega meat corporations, so I am writing to you today to urge you to STOP USDA’s support of the factory farming industry and prioritize public health.
