Tell the Bureau of Land Management to approve the management plan for Bears Ears National Monument!

This is history being made. If approved, the plan to manage Bears Ears National Monument’s land would be the FIRST EVER to be created in collaboration with a Tribal commission.

Please help us protect the monument’s iconic structures, rock paintings, and ceremonial sites. Approve the proposed plan to ensure Tribes continue to have a say in the management of their ancestral lands.

Thank you for your commitment to prioritizing Tribal knowledge and ecological knowledge into the Bears Ears management plan which is critical to protecting the biodiversity and health of the Monument for generations to come. I am writing to ask that you move forward with Alternative E in the final resource management plan for the Bears Ears National Monument.

By choosing Alternative E, the Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will choose to uphold the sovereignty of the Tribes and honors Indigenous peoples personal, traditional, and cultural connections to land. Alternative E also reflects time-tested best practices for land management passed down over centuries from the original, and ongoing, stewards of this land, while also protecting the habitat, wildlife, and resource biodiversity, This plan would responsibly manage land access and use of the Monument in a way that allows current and future visitors to recreate, hunt, and fish, while also responding to the needs and health of the land.
