Last month, Zinke called pipeline protestors in Pennsylvania “un-American.” This is just his latest attack on people who are standing up for clean air, safe drinking water, and wild places for everyone to enjoy.
But Zinke is going further than just talk. He’s also aiming to restrict peoples’ ability to exercise their First-Amendment right to free speech to oppose his actions. He wants to restrict the use of some spaces on the National Mall, near the White House, and in other parts of Washington, DC. He wants to create additional fees. And he wants to add new restrictions for banners.
