In February 2025, the Trump administration, with input from Elon Musk, made the decision to lay off nearly 1,000 recently hired National Park Service employees.

The U.S. National Park system consists of 428 parks, historic sites, and other natural attractions. These parks are a major draw for over 325 million visitors annually, both from within the U.S. and from all over the world. The influx of visitors provides a vital boost to local businesses such as hotels, restaurants, transportation, and entertainment—helping local economies.

It’s critical to stop the ongoing cuts to National Park Service funding and staff.  These parks belong to the American people.

Please take action in Congress to reverse these damaging cuts and stand up for our public lands and the dedicated workers of the National Park Service against the destructive influence of Donald Trump and Elon Musk!
