Dear Congress,

I am writing to you today to urge you to take immediate action to protect people, wildlife, and the planet from being destroyed by Big Oil’s corporate greed and exploitation.

Trump has been pushing his “drill baby drill” agenda since Day One. From reviving the God Squad that could potentially override the ESA in favor of fossil fuel projects to pushing for opening up the Arctic to increased drilling, Congress must step up and defend our environment from destructive Big Oil initiatives. It is time to repeal federal fossil fuel subsidies, sufficiently fund federal agencies and programs that work to protect our communities and environment, and ensure that appropriated funds keep flowing as intended.

We need leaders in Congress who will stand firm in their values and not compromise the well-being of our communities, biodiversity, or climate progress to Trump’s pressure.
