Dear FWS,

Two imperiled animals – grizzly bears and gray wolves – are at risk of having their federal endangered species protections removed, especially in northern Rocky Mountain states like Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming where many of these beloved creatures call home.

Grizzlies and gray wolves are already targeted by trophy hunters who savagely bait, trap, and shoot these innocent animals in cold blood. Meanwhile, extremist politicians are currently pushing to strip away Endangered Species Act (ESA) protections for these iconic animals and other imperiled species.

Without these safeguards, it is likely that brutal trophy hunting tactics will escalate and become even more rampant – resulting in excessive killing of bears and wolves, pushing them closer to extinction.

In order to ensure the survival of these iconic species, federal protections are absolutely critical. That’s why I’m urging you today to demand protections for grizzly bears and gray wolves under the ESA are strengthened and enshrined in all states and comprehensive science-backed recovery plans are established before we lose these native North American treasures forever.
