Grizzly bears are emerging from their winter hibernation as spring begins. They’re hungry, weak, and vulnerable after the long winter months. Sadly, the hunting lobby is working at rolling back critical species protections so that as soon as they step outside their den, they could be in GRAVE DANGER.

States like Montana and Wyoming are TARGETING INNOCENT GRIZZLY BEARS. They aim to strip them of their protections so they can KILL for “fun” -- with painful snares, metal clamps, hunting dogs, and even dynamite! 

If the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) decides to delist grizzlies, grizzly bears could be pushed to the brink of EXTINCTION. And nothing is worth the loss of one of our nation’s most iconic species -- especially not a trophy hunter’s sick desire to watch them die.

Dear US Fish and Wildlife Service,

Grizzly bears are at risk of having their federal endangered species protections removed in Rocky Mountain states like Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming — where many of these beloved animals call home.

There are less than 2,000 native North American grizzly bears in the lower 48 states and removing ESA protections would be detrimental to ensuring their recovery.

Grizzlies are already targeted by trophy hunters who savagely bait, trap, and shoot these innocent animals in cold blood. If federal protections are removed, it is likely that these brutal trophy hunting tactics will become even more rampant, and will result in excessive, unregulated killing of grizzly bears.

In order to ensure the recovery of this iconic species, stronger federal protections are absolutely critical, so I’m urging you today to demand that grizzly bears remain protected under the Endangered Species Act in all states before they go extinct and we lose these native North American treasures forever.
